WESTFORD — Everyone strives to find that perfect cup of coffee. Well, look no further. This past May, Westford welcomed a new business into town: a small coffee shop called LittleTown Coffee Co., run by Casey Winner on Litteton Road.
The idea evolved after spending vacations on Martha’s Vineyard and the lasting impact select coffee shops had on the Winner family. After that, they set out to bring that same experience to Westford.
What began in 2021 as an old 1965 coffee trailer has now become a full-fledged stationary business that invites those in the community to sample high-quality coffee. With an idea and a passion for coffee, Winner opened up shop using suppliers like Bliss Confection Co. and Speedwell Coffee, which both offer high-quality tastes that make Winner feel at home.
LittleTown Coffee offers the community the perfect homey atmosphere for cozying up to meet a friend, read a book, work on that dreadful business proposal, or that unfortunate high school essay. Not only does this business take great pride in being a part of the community, but they also take great pride in their products and what it serves its customers. Winner explained that what sets this coffee shop apart from other shops is the fact that they put their focus on one thing and one thing only: making that perfect cup of coffee all the way down to the roast.
When picking the roasts, Winner explained, “We kind of go, what tastes good on its own, can we drink it black? Can we drink it hot? Can we drink it iced?”
So, if you’re looking for a great menu, then look no further. Like every good coffee shop LittleTown Coffee offers staples like caramel, mocha, and maple but you can also find unique specialty drinks like this season’s “Basic Witch.”As always, though, they pride themselves on being simple and delicious like their customer favorite, “Ole Salt.”
“We just like the idea of sea salt, caramel, and that’s it, it’s very simple, but it’s like the creamiest, best caramel,” Winner said.
Delicious, high-caliber coffee, but nothing too flashy.
“At the end of the day, one awesome specialty coffee offering in town that focuses on powering the community and being a part of the community but keeping the highest quality coffee that you can offer, and I think we do a pretty good job of that,” Winner said.
This coffee shop makes us want to re-enact the scene from Elf: to run into LitteTown Coffee and shout, “You did it! Congratulations. World’s best cup of coffee, great job everybody, it’s great to meet you!”
If you take anything from this article, take our word for it and grab the “Ole Salt” iced latte with oat milk — you will not be disappointed!
LittleTown Coffee Co. can be found at 129 Littleton Rd., its hours of operation are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
