WESTFORD — The Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library will hold its annual meeting this month, featuring longtime broadcast journalist and author Ted Reinstein.

The business portion of the meeting will begin at 2 p.m. Nov. 15, at First Parish Church United, 48 Main St., and will be followed by Reinstein’s presentation at 2:30 p.m.

The meeting will include reports from the president and treasurer, and attendees will vote on the proposed budget, slate of officers, and bylaw changes for the coming year. While only members and donors may vote during the business portion, the public is invited to attend the event.

Reinstein will discuss his latest book, “Travels Through the Heart and Soul of New England,” in which he “distills his decades of reporting into a single, heartfelt journey, meeting the most memorable people — and their unlikely stories — all along the way.”

After the presentation, Reinstein will take questions from the audience and sign copies of his book. A limited number of copies will be available for purchase.

Holiday Book Sale and Raffle

The Friends’ annual meeting is not the only event planned this month. They also invite the community to stop by its Holiday Book Sale and Raffle, held at First Parish Church during the following times:

  • Nov. 14: 6:30–9 p.m.

  • Nov. 15: 10 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

  • Nov. 15: 4–5:30 p.m.

The sale will feature holiday-themed items, gift-quality books, and “blind date with a book or puzzle” selections.

The raffle will include prizes such as gift cards to local restaurants, attraction passes, and household goods. Tickets will be sold in groups of five for $10 or 12 for $20. The drawing will take place at the end of the day on Nov. 15.
