WESTFORD CENTER — The Westford Select Board met on Tuesday, March 24, taking action on a wide range of community items, from local events to housing initiatives.

Beginning the meeting with several announcements, which included a reminder for Annual Town Meeting on March 28 and an announcement for the Robinson School Building Feasibility Study’s first interactive community forum on April 7, the board then approved several consent agenda items. Board members also held a public hearing on a utility petition from National Grid and Verizon to relocate a utility pole along Forge Village Road.

In a joint session with the School Committee, the board appointed Alicia Mallon to the Nashoba Valley Technical High School Committee for a term running through March 2029. Mallon was appointed with a 5-0 approval vote from the board and 7-0 vote from the School Committee.

The Board then went on to appoint one candidate to a three-year term as a registrar of voters which will also run through March 2029. The board approved Ricketson with a 5-0 vote to become the registrar.
