WESTFORD — The town is coordinating efforts to assist residents affected by recent reductions in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

Town departments are partnering with local organizations, schools, and businesses to provide food and financial support to residents experiencing increased need.

The town is also encouraging residents and businesses to contribute to local food security efforts.

The Westford Food Pantry, located at the Cameron Senior Center, continues to serve as a primary resource. The food pantry is open Wednesdays from 5 p.m to 7:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Westford Food Pantry accepts both non-perishable food and monetary donations. The nonprofit Westford Remembers is accepting financial contributions to support food and essential needs.

Food donation bins are available at several community locations, including Town Hall, Blanchard Middle School, Stonybrook Middle School, Westford Academy, and Evviva Trattoria.

In addition, the Westford Police Department will hold a Food Drive at Market Basket, 6A Cornerstone Sq., on Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations collected will support local food assistance programs.

Community resources are also available through the Westford Health and Human Services Department.
