WA boys varsity basketball narrowly loses to Weston, JV boys get the win

WESTFORD — The Westford Academy Ghosts boys varsity basketball team put up a harrowing fight against Weston at home on Friday, Jan. 23, just barely losing the game 66 to 60.

However, the JV boys basketball team didn’t suffer a similar fate that day, as they were able to defeat Weston 52 to 41.

Both the boys varsity and JV teams will have their next home game on Friday, Feb. 6, where they will take on Cambridge Rindge and Latin in the Westford Academy Gym. The JV team will play at 5:30 p.m. and varsity will play at 7 p.m.

The girls varsity and JV basketball teams will also each play an away game at Cambridge Rindge and Latin on Friday, with the JV game starting at 4:30 p.m. and varsity game at 5:30 p.m.

That night will also be senior night for all Westford Academy senior athletes.
