Unless otherwise noted, the following programs are made possible by the Friends of the Library.

Director’s Corner: On Friday, January 23, a Library Steel Beam signing was held at the old fire station, followed by a brief celebration at the Westford Museum. State and Town officials, designers, architects, staff, and construction personnel were invited to sign the steel beam to be installed in the newly renovated and expanded Library building.  Following the signing, attendees moved to a small gathering at the Westford Museum.  Speeches on the importance of public libraries and the Library Building Project were made by Representative Jim Arciero, Select Board Member, Noelle Donovan, Library Board of Trustees member, Debbie Teal, Permanent Town Building Committee Vice-Chair, Scott Hazelton, Friends of the Library and Foundation Board members, Mary Anne Seraphin and Mary Cacciatore, and Library Director, Ellen Rainville. Finegold Alexander architects and members from CHA consulting were also on hand for the festivities.  The beam signing marks another exciting milestone for the project.  The Library Building Project remains on time and on budget!  The excitement continues to build for the completion of the project in 2027.

Sadly, after a tragedy ten years ago, she no longer uses her gift and has fled her hometown. But six months after her mother’s death, Lucy awakens to find her mother’s unmistakable scent drifting over her, and she knows that she is being called home. And when a mysterious note leads her to take a job as the gardener at the Oceanview Home, a senior-living residence, Lucy finds herself wondering if there is more to her gift–and her mother’s past–than she ever knew. Her work among the lush gardens of Oceanview Home soon awakens the entire community, unearthing memories that will forever change all who cross Lucy’s path.
