WESTFORD — A Westford family along with their dog and three cats were displaced during a house fire on Wednesday night.

The Westford Fire and Police Departments received a call about the fire at a home on Webber Road around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Westford Fire Chief Mike Denehy said there were no injuries during the fire, which he said was not very severe and quickly extinguished, with only minor damage to the home.

However, despite the minor damage, the family and their pets have been unable to return since that night.

As a result, the Westford Animal Control shared on social media that essential pet supplies were delivered to the family, made possible by donations through Animal Control’s gift fund.

The cause of the fire is unclear and remains under investigation.

  1. I have some extra cat food if it can be used for this family’s cat. Please email me if you want me to drop off the cans I have at Westford CAT.
