WESTFORD — Martha Washington and Mercy Otis Warren will come to life in a scripted performance at the Westford Museum on March 5, at 7 p.m.

The event, titled Affectionate Friends and Humble Servants,” explores the friendship between the two Revolutionary-era women, who met in person only twice in 1776, but maintained a rich correspondence reflecting their personalities and shared political commitments.

The program highlights Martha Washington’s role as the first First Lady and steadfast supporter of George Washington, alongside Mercy Otis Warren’s bold political commentary as a poet, playwright, and social critic.

Following the performance, a Q&A session allows audiences to interact with the historical characters before the performers return to their modern identities to answer additional questions.

The Westford Museum suggests a $10 program donation.
