WESTFORD — Westford could see two to three inches of snow, sleet and ice Thursday night into Friday morning.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for most of Massachusetts, including Westford, effective from 5 p.m. Thursday until noon Friday.
According to the NWS, around two to three inches of snow is possible for Westford and much of Middlesex Country, with a small chance for a burst of heavier snow, around three to four inches, also possible.
However, much of this snow may fall as sleet, depending on the temperature.

In addition to the snow and sleet, the NWS warned that the Friday morning commute may be significantly impacted by ice, as overnight temperatures are likely to drop below freezing, resulting in up to a quarter inch of ice.
Commuters are encouraged to stay off the roads and work from home if possible.
Those who must drive are urged to plan for longer than average commute times, reduce speed while driving and maintain distance between other vehicles.
The winter weather comes ahead of milder weather that is expected to arrive next week, with warmer than average temperatures forecasted for the weekend and early next week.
