What if I told you I’m back?

Well, hello there! I am back from my trip across the pond, and I am finally dry from all that rain! First, I sadly have to say, shame, shame, shame to see that the raffle was only at a mere $445 when I touched down at Logan airport, but just like all my previous promises to eat better, I’ll ignore it!

As I have mentioned infinite times before, this column is where I dish out the hot topics, things I deem important (hehe), and events trending around town and beyond. Hi, and welcome to my new readers. If there is ever something you would like to see covered, email me at lhanrahan@westfordcat.org. (Sidenote. I do not share my email to be polite. I am a professional talker. PLEASE send me your thoughts, opinions, and ideas. I would love to hear them.) Fair warning. I consider Taylor Swift’s first physical appearance at an award show this week to be headline news.

Ireland was truly such a great time. I spent my late afternoons in authentic Irish pubs peering over tall shoulders as Irish bands played their music way too loud, as children far too young were plastered to their parents’ backs with noise-cancelling headphones glued to their ears. I had my rite of passage SIP of a Guinness, which I did not adore. I spent an 8-hour bus tour journeying to the Cliffs of Moher, where I could barely see a thing due to the fog and rain, but it was the vibes and thought that counted. I was educated about the legendary Galway Claddagh Rings, which, of course, I picked up at a local shop. I got my hands on a limited edition Jellycat which can only be found in Brown Thomas (a local department store in Ireland). I spent an early Sunday morning in a church where I was enamored by the priest’s Irish brogue. But most importantly, I got to see my sister Avery, who has been studying abroad for the past two months in Barcelona, and I got to witness my father with his paper white smile, wave proudly to his daughters as he led his police department through Eyre Square in the cool drizzle on St. Patrick’s Day. To summarize, 11/10 trip.

It is officially spring, which is getting me in the perfect mood! I hope you guys are dusting off your window sills and preparing for the season of screen doors and sunroofs!

I have been seeing that there is quite a lot of drama on the Westford Facebook page regarding this pay-as-you-throw. I am going to be diving into this and educating myself some more, so that I can jump into this conversation. If you have anything you want to add, please email me! I feel like the town is on its very own episode of Gossip Girl these days when I go into the comment section.

As the weather warms and the snow finally melts, I cannot help but daydream of summer, those days when it’s so warm we can see the heat coming off the pavement, the sound of kids’ laughter, and the ice cream truck making its way through Nab. Now, that is what I am most looking forward to.

I am very happy to be back in this little cube, where I can type about drama, let you know what is going on in my life, and bicker with Alex about AI until 3 pm rolls around and I head to my next job!

Until next week, peeps.
