Electronics & More/Zero Waste Day

Westford Zero Waste Day
Saturday, September 7th, 2024 (9:00am-1:00pm)
● Who: This first ever Zero Waste Day is for our residents (not businesses) to donate and recycle many of their unwanted items rather than disposing of them in the trash.
● What: Multiple vendors will be on hand at the collections to accept your items.
● How: Visit two main locations and other sub-sites and bring your items.
● Cost (Checks Preferred):
○ For “Electronics and More”, many items are free, but not all.
○ There will be no cost for items dropped at the Blanchard School or at the Bay State Books container.

SITE 1 >> “Electronics and More” – at the Westford DPW/Highway Garage:
✔ Computers, monitors, and most other electronic devices and equipment, appliances of all sizes, and scrap metal.

SITE 2 >> Additional Zero Waste Collections – at the Blanchard School,
14 West Street.

Household Goods, Acton, MA – will accept:
✔ Furniture such as beds, chairs and tables
✔ Kitchen Items such as cooking utensils and dishes
✔ Linens such as blankets and towels
✔ Small appliances such as toasters and microwaves

New England Clothes Recycling, Chelmsford, MA – will accept:
✔ All textiles, games, toys, picture frames, wall art, decorative items

Mr. Mick Pare, Ayer, MA – will accept:
✔ Musical instruments that can be carried, and Music Books

SITE 3 >> Bay State Books Dropoff Container- Old Water Dept., Forge Village Rd.
✔ VHS tapes, cassette tapes, older textbooks, full sets of encyclopedias, and any book in fair but still usable condition. Note that this book container is available 24/7.
