Jazz Holiday Pops

The holiday season arriving in the greater Chelmsford region means that the Chelmsford Community Band is getting out some of their favorite sheet music to usher in the holiday cheer. Join them for two concerts this December.
The Jazz Ensemble will start the holidays off at 7pm on Saturday, December 5th, at the Chelmsford Center for the Arts. Under the direction of Art Bakopolus, they will perform an evening of seasonal swing and jazz favorites. Tickets for this event are available at the door for $20, with a discount of $10 for seniors.
The Concert Band will then appear the following weekend at 2pm on Sunday, December 13th, at Chelmsford High School’s Performing Arts Center. The program for their annual holiday concert under the direction of Eric Linsner features favorites like “Sleigh Ride” and “The Hallelujah Chorus,” a medley of traditional Polish carols, and a singalong. There will also be a fundraising raffle of themed Christmas trees and baked goods available to take home.
Admission to the December 13 concert is free, but donations are always very gratefully accepted so that the band can continue to operate. Suggested donations at the door are $10 for adults and $20 for families. The CCB is a 501(c)3 nonprofit supported by grants from local businesses, arts organizations, and your contributions. The 2026-27 season has been generously aided by a Massachusetts Cultural Council grant for Creative Experiences.
The Chelmsford Community Band has a 75-piece Concert Band and a 20-piece Jazz Ensemble made of dedicated volunteer musicians with a proud tradition of bringing live musical performances to this community since 1972.
