westford parent connectionOur children are bombarded on a daily basis with unrealistic images of the human body. Advertising, however, isn’t the only influence on how our kids feel about themselves. Parents, peers, and the proliferation of social media can adversely affect our kids’ relationship to food and body image. Join the Westford Parent Connection on Tuesday, March 17, for an enlightening presentation, Raising Body Confident Children In A Body Conscious World. The presentation is being given by Laura Goodman, LICSW, and Rhys Wyman, MS, RD, at 7:00 p.m. in the Stony Brook Middle School auditorium, 9 Farmer Way, Westford. Parents and other caregivers will learn strategies to help kids feel comfortable in their own skin. Due to the generosity of Westford Parent Connection sponsors, this event is free and open to the public.
