Youth Soccer Wins Over Waltham, Melrose, Wilmington And Others

Boys U10 Team 2

Westford 3 Waltham 0

Yash Parmar had the hat trick and Liam Schmidt and Shahoj Makkapati led a strong defense as Westford dominated Waltham.  Westford remains unbeaten with a record of 1 win 1 tie and 0 losses.

Girls U8 in town

The Green Lightning played a great game against the Light Green Lazer Ninja Princesses.  Paige Markesich, Emily Wedlake, Navya Balenini and Ainsley Scanlon had great offensive performances while Molly Ford, Sarah Morey, Kiera Timlin and Anna Jain were outstanding in goal.

Girls U10 Team 3

Westford 5, Waltham 3

Girls U10 Team 3 is on a roll. They recorded their third consecutive win of the season on Saturday September 26th, against Waltham at Jack Walsh Field in Westford.

Westford Youth SoccerThis was a fast game with lots of hard running on both sides. Westford got off to a good start going up 3-0 in the first twenty minutes. Caroline Mallio, Marie Morris, and Katie Krangle scoring. Olivia Dempster played a great first half in goal with good saves and quick distribution of the ball. Sarah Foley and Audrey Smagula played strong defense and Waltham was unable to score on Westford until just before the end of the first half.

In the second half, Waltham scored first at the 28th minute and Westford answered with two goals, one at the 29th minute and the other at the 31st minute. Kassidy Carmichael scoring both goals. The remainder of the second half was hard-fought with both teams shooting well and hustling back on defense. Waltham did not give up and got their last goal with only 30 seconds left in the game.

Girls U10 Team Six

Westford 5, Melrose 3

The Winners came to play on Saturday at Westord’s Jack Walsh field. From the first kick, they pushed forward and dictated play with a quick goal from Maddie York (the first of her three goals on the day), assisted twice by Keira Grenier and once by Mia Votano. The Winners added two more goals; one by Alexa Pantoja (assisted by Sophia Sacco), and the final goal by Sophia Denn (assisted by Bailey Dyer). Melrose didn’t roll over, and pushed forward with good results several times, but the victory was sealed by solid defense, team passing, and great goalkeeping by Mia Votano and Alexa Pantoja.
