The following information came from the Westford Fire Department.

Oct. 29, 2:39 p.m. – A smoke detector alarm was reported on Dempsey Way. However, when firefighters arrived at the residence, no sound could be heard.

There was also no smoke or fire.

Firefighters advised homeowners to remove that smoke detector.

Nov.  3, 9:31 a.m. – The odor of natural gas was detected on Farmer Way near a hill.

While there was a strong odor, no readings of natural gas could be found.

National Grid confirmed the lack of natural gas in the area and indicated they would investigate at a later date.

Nov. 3, 6:23 p.m. – Three units responded to an oven fire on Pondview Circle.

The fire was confined to the oven. Firefighters assisted the homeowner with ventilation. The oven was destroyed.

Nov. 7, 9:03 a.m. – On Main Street, one homeowner called the authorities after noticing a fire in his lawn tractor.

The homeowner said he was checking his grass bags and saw smoke coming from under the machine.
