Joanne Sargent, who owns the historic Abbot Estate at 32 Main St., Westford, relates how she and her husband Michael purchased the house some 30 years ago.

The Sargent’s are opening their home to the Westford Historical Society for a gala fundraiser on Thursday, June 8, at 7 p.m.

Music for the evening will be provided by Littleton harpist Rebecca Swett and Hudson pianist Victoria Bartolomeo on the Sargent’s Lyon & Healy Harp and rosewood concert grand 1864 Steinway piano. Guided tours of the third floor of the house will be offered throughout the evening.

A silent auction will include unique items offered exclusively at this event.Black tie is optional.

Tickets are $90 for members of the Historical Society and $125 for non-members. They can be purchased at museum.westford.org.
