The Westford Valley Marketplace got some attention last week thanks to a number of empty storefronts. The Oct. 13 story began like this:
‘The Whole Foods grocery store is credited with contributing to the economic health of the Westford Valley Marketplace. The grocery store is booming with business, according to Andy LaGrega, principal of Boston-based Wilder Companies which manages the plaza. In addition, most restaurants that are offering take-out food and drinks are doing well, he said.’

It was a complicated decision, but on Oct. 5, the Westford School Committee voted unanimously to support Articles 5 and 6 on the special Town Meeting warrant, but then voted 7 to 0 not to recommend Article 6, motion 4. Find the full explanation here.

Ten Minute Citizen (Quickly) Reviews Sept. 29 Select Board Meeting

We brought you another edition of a town-wide favorite, the Ten Minute Citizen. The Ten Minute Citizen is designed to inform residents quickly and efficiently about every vote Select Board members took in their Sept. 29 meeting without taking the viewer all day.

“Defend your police” said the words on a truck parked for most of the Oct. 10 weekend in front of the Parish Center for the Arts. The message played on a slogan expressed by members of the Black Lives Matter movement which said, “De-fund the police.” WestfordCAT will bring viewers more on this.
