Westford GOP Committee Headed for State Convention

-

The Westford Republican Town Committee (WRTC) is pleased to announce the election of eighteen delegates for the Massachusetts Republican State Convention that will be held on Saturday, May 21st, 2022 in Springfield MA.

WRTC Chairwoman and Presider of the caucus Kathy Lynch invited candidates to give mini-speeches of introduction to members of the committee. A common theme expressed by the candidates was a serious concern over the leadership and direction of the nation and the Commonwealth.

Elected delegates will go to the spring Republican State Convention to endorse the party’s candidates for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, and State Auditor. To obtain the endorsement, a candidate must attain a majority vote of the delegates at the convention.

WRTC member and delegate Cheryl Longtin said, “I’m looking forward to the state convention to hear candidate and guest speeches. Republicans in Massachusetts are needed now, more than ever, to help improve issues with the economy, infrastructure, and systems that care for our most vulnerable children.”

Republican candidates are now building their campaigns, scheduling speaking engagements, gathering volunteers, and soliciting donations.

Westford Republicans are invited to get involved. Learn more by contacting the Westford Republican Town Committee at info@WestfordMAGOP.org.
