WESTFORD — A Westford-based dance team will compete in a national competition this July.
84 dancers from Westford, Chelmsford, Groton and Pepperell among others attending Studio Rhythm Dance Center will participate in ‘Dancin’ in the Streets,’ a national dance competition hosted at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Ledyard, CT.
The dancers, between ages 6 and 18 years old, will compete against 750 other performers.
One of Studio Rhythm’s directors, Kayla Salah, entered her team into the event so seniors could continue to compete.
“We didn’t want to end their year so soon,” she told WestfordCAT. “They worked so hard and they’ve always done well at regional competitions.”
The competition will be held July 12 through July 15. A livestream will be available online.
