The Communications Advisory Committee is seeking input on Westford’s cable access offerings. Please participate by taking the survey online.
The transportation program of the Cameron Senior Center is hosting a survey to understand the community’s needs. According to the town, the program has reached a point where budgetary restraints, increased ridership and the “drastic increase” in gas prices have made it unrealistic for the town to continue to offer the service on its current donation-based system.
Hydrant flushing began on Oct. 12 at the water mains starting in Forge Village. The Water Department is scheduled to flush hydrants near Town Center and Route 110, as well as other areas in town as time allows. Flushing will take place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. A schedule can be found online.
The department advises residents who have discolored water to run their cold water tap for up to 20 minutes after flushing has concluded.
The second annual International Block Party will be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 22 at the Middlesex 4H Fairgrounds.

The Cameron Senior Center is hosting a 55+ year old Asian and South Asian focus group on Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Group participants will be entered into a raffle for door prizes.

An inaugural Climate Cafe will be held at the J.V. Fletcher Library on Oct. 19 at 1:30 p.m.
From the Health Department and Community Wellness Department:
The Health Department is accepting applications for residents to receive $400 per child for the Recreation Department’s after-school program, which began on Aug. 30.
Applications should be emailed to Regional Community Health and Wellness Coordinator Brittany Nash. Applications can also be mailed to Town Hall. Applicants must be Westford residents and be at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level.
Community Wellness Assistance is now available for drop-in hours. Community Wellness Coordinator will be available on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the J.V. Fletcher Library.
