WESTFORD — The Police Department is investigating an alleged theft of a snake from a pet store in Westford.

The alleged theft of a Colombian Red Tailed Boa occurred on Nov. 12 at approximately noon at a Petco in Cornerstone Square.

Law enforcement said that a male and two female parties were involved in the incident.

“It appears that the male party was working in conjunction with two females who were actively distracting one of the Petco employees while he took the snake,” the department wrote on social media on Wednesday.

The department is seeking additional information on the individuals involved in the alleged theft, as well as any further information on the incident.

Individuals with information should contact Officer John Lincoln at 978-399-2345.
