WESTFORD — The Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library has been selected as a finalist for a $1,000 grant.

The MillTown Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electrical’s Helping Hands program provides monthly grants to local organizations that receive the most votes on their website.

“MillTown’s Helping Hands initiative is our way of giving back to the communities we work in every day” the company’s marketing manager Adrian Wasylyshyn said in a news release. “This contest isn’t just about selecting a winner—it’s also about uniting our community in support of the heroes among us. Every vote cast is a vote of hope, a message to these charities that their work is seen and cherished.”

Community members who wish to support the Friend’s effort can vote online daily through October.

“The library is moving offsite in early 2025 due to a major expansion and renovation, and we may not be able to raise as much money as usual,” said Friends’ President Mary Anne Seraphin in a news release. “We could use some help!”
