WESTFORD — Stir Martini Bar and Kitchen is thriving after opening its new Littleton Road  location in August.

As only WestfordCAT reported, the restaurant is now housed at 137 Littleton Rd., the site of a former Chili’s that abruptly closed in September 2023.

Owners Randy Richards and Caitlin Hannagan signed the lease in August 2023 and after nearly a year of renovations, opened in August.

“It was a big undertaking business-wise,” Richards said. “But it’s been great, it’s paid off.”

The new location is over three times the size of their old restaurant and required multiple upgrades and new hires but they are “very happy about it.”

While the business may have moved, Stir is still able to maintain the same food, drinks, service and ambience that it had before.

“We want it to be an adult atmosphere for people to come and enjoy themselves like whether they’re celebrating or just having a drink after dinner,” Hannagan said, “You notice we don’t have any TVs that’s kind of our shtick when you come in here we want you to be able to talk to each other and make friends at the bar.”

The size of their restaurant was not the only thing they upgraded, Stir also changed their hours. Previously only open for dinner Monday through Saturday, Stir is now open seven days a week  11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Sunday.

They have also upgraded their menu. They continue to change menu items, experimenting with different drinks and adding new dishes, but they have also created an entirely new menu for lunch with certain items you can only get during lunch hours.

They are now taking reservations which they encourage guests coming in on the weekends to take advantage of. The extra space has allowed for a bigger crowd, but the owners say “it’s still not enough,” especially on the weekends when they get a bigger crowd.

“It’s a great place to celebrate. We pride ourselves on that we do a couple of things that really bring in people to celebrate. It’s always a lively atmosphere at night so it kind of gives you a celebratory feel,” Richards said.

Both also plan to open a burger bar at their old Powers Road location called Sear Burger and Whiskey. They are aiming to open the new restaurant in January or February.
