WESTFORD — The Fire Department will host its 33rd annual Christmas Tree Pick Up next month.
Residents who wish to have their tree discarded may schedule their pick up on either Jan. 11 or Jan. 12. Residents may dispose of their tree for as little as $10, or opt to purchase the department’s silver package for $25 which includes a Westford Firefighters water bottle, or the gold package for $50 which includes a Westford Firefighters t-shirt.
Trees must be placed on the curb no later than 7 a.m. on the day of pick up.
The event is the department’s biggest annual fundraiser, with the department collecting over 560 trees in 2023. Donations to the department fund six scholarships for high school seniors, provide an annual dinner to seniors, helps with the purchase of wreaths for veterans as part of Wreaths Across America and offsets costs from the department’s annual Trunk or Treat among other events.
