WESTFORD — Now nestled in the former Classic Kitchen location at 175 Littleton Road, Yokai Ramen brings authentic Japanese cuisine to Westford.
The restaurant has staff has more than 15 years of combined experience in the food and restaurant industry. They are well-versed in what makes good ramen, having explored diverse locales that serve it.
“We have committed ourselves to learning the intricate art of authentic Japanese ramen, guided by a Japanese chef with more than a decade of experience,” the restaurant’s website says.
Yokai Ramen officially opened at the beginning of March. Its goal now? To share these authentic flavors with the town of Westford.
Yokai Ramen prides itself on friendly service and authentic recipes that will invite the taste buds on a flavorful journey.
They describe their restaurant as intimate and concealed, with a unique style. The restaurant is covered wall to wall with Japanese art and decor, globe-like lights hang from the ceiling and a countertop tables are paired with cushioned crate seats.
The menu includes dishes such as gyoza, miso ramen, karrage don, unagi don, green tea mochi and a customer favorite: shoyu ramen, made with chicken and pork broth, black mushrooms, seaweed, scallions, bamboo, egg and pork belly.
Yokai Ramen boasts it’s ramen preparation method which takes nine hours to prepare. The broth, made from scratch, includes a mix of ingredients such as vegetables, chicken and pork bones.
The restaurant is set to host a grand opening later this month to celebrate its arrival in Westford.
Yokai Ramen’s hours of operation are daily from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and again from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
