WESTFORD — The Town of Westford announced on Thursday that a new treasurer/collector was appointed last week.
Hannah Moller began her new role as treasurer/collector on Monday, Aug. 11, following the retirement of former treasurer/collector Christine Collins on Aug. 8, who served the town for 14 years.
Moller, who recently served as treasurer/collector for the Town of Groton, brings over 13 years of municipal finance experience to Westford.
In Groton, Moller was responsible for tax collection, receivables, cash reconciliation, state and federal reporting, and managing debt and investments.
Additionally, as department manager, Moller oversaw a three-member staff, coordinated interdepartmental initiatives, and worked closely with department heads and the town manager’s office to assist in developing and administering the municipal budget. She also served as chair of the Tax Relief for Elders and the Disabled Committee. Moller also served as assistant treasurer/collector and payroll coordinator earlier in her career in Groton, where she gained hands-on expertise across a broad range of municipal finance functions.
As a certified Massachusetts municipal treasurer and collector with eight years of specialized professional education in municipal treasury and collections, Moller hopes to continue to expand her knowledge within municipal finance and government and contribute new ideas to Westford’s finance team and administration.
“We are excited to welcome Hannah to Westford’s finance team,” Westford Town Manager Kristen Las said. “Her extensive experience in municipal treasury and collections, coupled with her proven leadership in Groton, will make her a tremendous asset to our community. I am confident she will serve Westford with professionalism and dedication.”
