You had to make your own sunshine…
That could not be truer in this case, these days, as these winter advisories just keep coming. My oh my, that snow was relentless. My boyfriend told me that Rhode Island got 40 inches of snow, so I’m happy to be a Masshole at the moment!
As I have mentioned innumerable times before, this column is where I dish out the hot topics, things I deem important (hehe), and events trending around town and beyond.
Hi, and welcome to my new readers. If there is ever something you would like to see covered, email me at lhanrahan@westfordcat.org. (Sidenote: I do not share my email to be polite; I am a professional yapper. PLEASE send me your thoughts, opinions, and ideas; I’d love to hear!) Fair warning, I consider the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special a major headline.
I feel as if it has been some time since I sat down at the keyboard and chatted with you. For starters, I hope you all had a lovely Valentine’s Day, full of romantic gestures, cheesy pick-up lines, and flowers that brighten your kitchen.
Last week, WCAT hosted its Film Lab for February vacation, where we had a whopping 12 kids in attendance. Talk about chaos. With my history of being a nanny, you would think that I knew exactly what I was in for … I was sadly mistaken. With broken pencils, roaring laughter, VR headsets flying, and the quiet coyote symbol being gestured around faster than you can say “boys, keep your hands to yourself!” The week ended with three unique and confusing movies that did nothing short of make me question this young generation. BUT, in all seriousness, this camp is such a luxury, allowing the younger generation to come into the studio, get comfortable in their creativity, and see what they can accomplish and achieve when we work together and have the proper guidance!
Speaking of movies, I plan on seeing “Wuthering Heights,” the movie that hit theatres recently. It stars both Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie. The press junket for this film is truly one in a million. Now, unless you have trouble with your eyesight, or you just are truly not well, you know that Jacob Elordi is an absolute hunk.
The fact that Margot Robbie said she became “weak in the knees” while acting alongside him in this film not only makes me even more excited to see this, but also makes me wonder if there is a limit to how many times I can see it in a row! If you have seen “Wuthering Heights” and did not like it, I BEG, do not crush my dreams like my sister so kindly tried to do last weekend.
As this week comes to a close, I do have a few more announcements. Megan Moroney, the self-acclaimed “emo cowgirl,” has released her third studio album, “Cloud 9,” which is right up my alley as it is completely pink-themed and has a song that calls an older man out by a direct character flaw of needing a younger woman to feed his ego.
WOW! So, I have said a lot this week, get to the theatres, grab your headphones, we have a lot of listening, gossip, and watching to do this weekend, my friends.
Later!
