WESTFORD CENTER — The Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library Inc. will hold a three-day book sale from May 1 to 3 at First Parish Church United, 48 Main St., while the library is under construction.
A members-only preview sale will be held Friday, May 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Membership is required for entry. Scanners will not be allowed during the preview.
The sale opens to the public Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with most items priced at $1 or $2. Scanners will be permitted.
A bag sale will take place Sunday, May 3, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $10 per reusable bag, which attendees may fill with items. Scanners will be allowed.
The sale will include thousands of gently used items, including books, puzzles, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, CDs and vinyl records. Payment will be accepted in cash, check or credit card.
Proceeds benefit the Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library, which funds library programs, museum passes and collection enhancements.
Donations of books and media are still being accepted and may be dropped off in the collection box at the rear of First Parish Church United.
The J.V. Fletcher Library is undergoing a major renovation expected to be completed in 2027. It is operating temporarily at 515 Groton Road.
