WESTFORD CENTER — Roudenbush Community Center has announced several upcoming events, including markets and family programs.
The schedule includes a series of summer and fall markets, community gatherings, youth activities and longstanding traditions offering residents opportunities to shop locally, connect with neighbors and participate in seasonal celebrations.
The focus of the community center’s summer programming are the Roudenbush Community Markets, which will take place every Tuesday through Aug. 25 from 3. to 7 p.m. on the Abbott School Lawn at 25 Depot St. The weekly market will feature local farmers, artisans, bakers, nonprofit organizations, food trucks and family-friendly activities.
Throughout the summer, the market will feature several themed events designed to connect residents with local organizations and resources. Health and Safety Week on July 28 will bring together representatives from local police, fire and health organizations to provide information and resources for residents.
Pet Palooza, on Aug. 11 and will feature pet-focused vendors, products and activities for animal lovers. Then the season will conclude Aug. 25 with an International Block Party celebrating cultural diversity through food, music and community activities.
Visitors can also expect a rotating lineup of food trucks throughout the market season, including Zao Non Dairy Gelato, Twizted Pickle, Braised Food Truck and Augusta’s Chicken on the Road. In addition to special programming, visitors will be able to shop for farm-fresh produce, baked goods, handmade crafts, artwork and other locally produced items.
Roudenbush’s Community Markets extends beyond the summer months. A Fall Maker Market will return Oct. 4 from noon to 4 p.m. The autumn event will feature handcrafted goods, candles, soaps, kitchenware, baked treats and holiday gift items created by local makers and small businesses.
“These events are designed to strengthen community connections and create memorable experiences for residents of all ages,” executive director of Roudenbush Community Center Amanda Sullivan said in a press release. “We are thrilled to welcome families, businesses, nonprofits and neighbors together throughout the year.”
