Patricia “Patty” Diane Stocker (Lunter), 62, of Westford, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Arlington on Friday, September 11, 2026.
Born June 30, 1964, in Torrance, California, Patty grew up in Holliston, graduating from Holliston High School in 1982. She went on to study Communications and Videography at Dean College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Media Communications from Emerson College in 1986.
Patty built a long career in media and broadcasting, working as an on-air DJ for rock radio stations including WAAF in Boston, WHEB in Portsmouth, NH, and WCZR in Fort Myers, FL. She later worked in sales and marketing for CBS Television in Boston and as a DJ for WPXC (PIXY 103) in Hyannis. Locally, she served as Video Producer/Editor and Production Coordinator for Westford Community Access Television (WestfordCAT), where she hosted, produced, and edited the program “Local Music Rocks” and earned a regional Alliance for Community Media award for “30 Minutes.”
In 2024, Patty earned a Master’s degree in Education from Merrimack College and was pursuing a new career in academia at the time of her passing.
Patty married Ernest (Ernie) Stocker III in 1992, and the two raised sons Clay and Luke together in Westford. She was deeply devoted to her sons, cherishing their milestones and staying actively involved in their educational, artistic, and athletic pursuits throughout her life.
In 2017, she met Joseph “Joe” D’Arco, a former drummer for several successful heavy-metal bands including Godsmack and a prominent engineer with the Central Engineering group at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where he helped build high-powered telescopes. Patty and Joe became partners in life, bonding over their shared love of music, media, and science, and remained together until his passing.
She is survived by her sons, Clay Stocker (and partner Kriza) and Luke Stocker, along with several siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the Asperger’s Association of New England (AANE), or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
