WESTFORD — The following release was shared with WestfordCAT by member Kathy Lynch for publication and distribution.

Kathy Lynch of Westford handed in triple the number of nomination signatures required for re-election to the Massachusetts Republican State Committee in the new Worcester and Middlesex district.

On Super Tuesday, March 5th 2024, Republican and Unenrolled voters across the state (who choose the Republican ballot) will elect one Republican State Committeewoman and one Republican State Committeeman per Senate district. These 80 elected Republican leaders will govern the Massachusetts Republican Party (MassGOP) – establish the policies and platform of the party, provide leadership to the city, ward, and town committees, and help recruit and elect Republican candidates to office.

Kathy Lynch has been working diligently to meet Republicans and Unenrolled voters in the new district that includes Westford, Groton, Leominster, Fitchburg, Lunenburg, Townsend, Clinton, Lancaster, Shirley, and Ashby.

Kathy Lynch has been very active in her State Committeewoman role – serving on the Issues and Public Relations Committees and, most prominently, as Chairwoman of the Elections Review Committee. For the MassGOP State Convention, Kathy served on the Credentials and Rules Committees, and led the team that hand counted votes as Chief of Tally Operations.

While the state was reeling from shutdowns and mandates, Kathy took a leadership role by handing in thousands of collected petition signatures and three resolutions petitioning the governor to end the unconstitutional shutdown, make masks optional, and refuse implementation of vaccine passports. All three resolutions passed.

Lynch has taken prominent roles in a number of Massachusetts ballot initiatives: to require voter identification, to prohibit ranked choice voting, to stop taxpayer funding of abortions, to reverse illegal-alien drivers licenses, and to prevent a transportation and climate initiative (TCI) tax.

Furthermore, Lynch has led numerous rallies, standouts, trainings, and candidate events. Examples include a No to Ranked Choice Voting rally on Westford Common, a Free Speech standout at the Pepperell Rotary, statewide Election Integrity trainings, and Meet the Candidate events.

Lynch states, “Republicans are needed now more than ever in Massachusetts. This state is run largely by a super majority of Democrats – basically one-party rule that is very lopsided. Republicans offer balance and push-back against laws and policies that undermine our freedom, safety, health, and prosperity.”
