Additional voting information:
Applications for a vote-by-mail ballot should be returned as soon as possible to ensure vote-by-mail ballots are delivered on time.
As a reminder: After an application is filed and a vote-by-mail ballot is received, voters may mail their ballots back, hand deliver them to the Town Clerk’s office or use the ballot drop box outside of Town Hall.
Ballots may not be dropped off at a polling place on Election Day.
Voters who apply for a vote by mail ballot but choose to vote in person should inform election officials at the polls. Residents may vote in person even if they have already applied for a vote by mail ballot if:
- They applied to vote by mail but never returned their ballot.
- They mailed their ballot back but it hasn’t reached the Town Clerk’s office.
- Their ballot was received by the Town Clerk’s office but was rejected.
Residents who vote by mail and have their ballots received and accepted by the Town Clerk’s office may not change their vote or vote again.
You can check the status of your mail-in ballot online.
Other ballot options:
Accessible ballot options are available for residents with disabilities.
Residents in the military serving overseas may request an absentee ballot.
Residents 16 years and older may pre-register to vote. Residents who pre-register and turn 18 on or before election day may vote.
For residents mailing a ballot from out of state, officials recommend mailing the ballot at least seven days in advance of the election.
Questions should be directed to the Town Clerk’s office at 978-692-5515 or by email.
