WESTFORD — Veterans Day ceremonies are planned for next Monday.

An invocation will be given by American Legion Chaplain Arthur Pellerin, who served in the Korean War, with an introduction by Westford’s Veteran’s Service Officer and Navy veteran Terry Stader.

Army veteran and State Sen. John Cronin, Select Board Chairman Scott Hazelton and Air Force veteran Dr. Stephany Godfrey are among three of the event’s speakers.

A closing ceremony will be given by Pallerin, as well as the Westford Academy Buglers and the Westford and District Pipes and Drums.

A short procession will be held from the Library to Westford Common at 10:50, ahead of the event.

The event is slated to be held on the Town Common at 11 a.m. In the event of inclement weather, will be held at the old center fire station at 51 Main St. and the parade will be canceled.

A decision to hold the event indoors will be made on the town’s website by 8:15 a.m. on Monday.

Veterans and others who wish to march in the parade should gather at the Library at 10:30 a.m.

Questions should be directed to the Veterans Services Department at 978-392-1170.
