WESTFORD — The Beacon Santa Fund is again helping community members this holiday season.
Since 1965, the Beacon Santa Fund helps families in Acton, Boxborough, Billerica, Bedford, Concord, Chelmsford, Lexington, Lincoln, Littleton, Maynard, Stow and Westford by providing gift cards to families in need. This year the Beacon Santa Fund has been asked to help over 600 children and is holding donations. However, the fund also accepts donations past December.
The Beacon Santa Fund helps struggling families seeking “a little respite from their troubles and a little joy for the holidays,” according to a news release shared with WestfordCAT. The fund receives applications from family sharing their struggles and asking them for help during the holidays.
The Beacon Santa Fund needs help to put something under the Christmas tree for families in need. The fund has raised money to provide gift cards for families seeking help during the holidays since 1965. The fund is a volunteer organization “determined to provide families in need with a little Joy during the holidays.”
