Multiple local news outlets reported that the 15th annual Asian American Day festival was celebrated at Boston Common on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Starting at 10:00 a.m., local time, this much-anticipated celebration featured many notable programs and activities, including a parade of performers, live music, dance, art, and a diverse array of over 90 food vendors. Marked as one of Greater Boston’s most popular annual cultural gatherings, the event attracted over 10,000 residents from across the state of Massachusetts.
“It’s really nice to have a reminder of how big the Chinese community here in Boston and Massachusetts is,” said a Duxbury resident. “It feels really great to see all that because I come from a smaller town that’s not very diverse there…”
Asian American Day was initiated in 2011 by Boston’s Asian American Association, and over the years it has grown into a key event that honors the region’s Asian American community.
