In August 2025, the Select Board of the Town of Westford, Massachusetts established the Westford 300 Committee to begin planning for the town’s 300th anniversary in 2029. The Committee’s immediate priority is to gather as much input from the community as possible to create an extraordinary year of celebration that reflects Westford’s long and storied history, our community past and present, and our indelible spirit over the
centuries.
A tricentennial is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone for our community, and we want the celebration to be shaped by the ideas and voices of the people who live and work here.
To make participation easy and accessible, the Committee is offering several ways for residents to share their thoughts and suggestions.
Community Meetings
The Committee has scheduled four community meetings where residents can attend in person, learn about the early planning process, and share their ideas for events, programs, and ways to commemorate this historic milestone.
- Cameron Senior Center – Friday, May 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM
- Westford Museum – Sunday, May 17, 2026, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
- Virtual Meeting (WestfordCAT) – Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 7:00 PM
Online Questionnaire
Residents who are unable to attend a meeting can still participate by completing an online questionnaire. The survey is available through the Westford Museum and Historical Society website here.
The Committee is eager to hear suggestions of all kinds—from festivals, concerts, and educational programs to historical projects, public art, and community traditions that could bring residents together throughout the anniversary year.
