Need Help Teaching Your Child How to Read? (Grades Pre K to 1).  This workshop will teach you how to make reading fun for you and your child.  Work through how children learn to read with hands on demonstrations.  Use these activities at home to help improve your child’s letter sounds, reading fluency, reading comprehension, and sight word recognition.  $42/$39, Monday, June 8, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Beginner’s Guitar 1 Night Workshop.  Learn the fundamentals of tuning and caring for your instrument.  Participants learn how to hold the pick, read chord diagrams, and simple strum patterns.  Required is a fully stringed and tuned guitar.  $33/$30, Tuesday, June 9, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

15 Months to 3.5 Years Tumbling Toddlers I and II – With Parent. Practice simple exercises with your child and enjoy obstacle courses.  Tumbling, climbing, jumping, and balancing activities help them gain body awareness and coordination.  $75/$72, 3 Fridays, June 12 to 26, 10 to 10:40 am for ages 1.5 to 2.5 years, 9:10 to 9:50 a.m. for ages 2.5 to 3.5.

Summer Gymnastics Fun (Ages 4 to 6).  Join the fun as we learn gymnastics skills.  Run through obstacle courses, swing on bars, balance on the beam, and play games.  Each day will involve a simple craft project.  $63/$60, Tuesday thru Thursday, June 16 to 18, 9:15 to 11:15 a.m.

Introduction to Shamanic Journeying Part 1 – The Lower World.  Tap into the knowledge of the Universe to answer questions, receive insights, and heal others.  Learn to journey to the lower world, meet your power animals, and receive answers to your question.  Bring a mat, small pillow, eye covering bandana, notebook, and pen.  $45/$42, Thursday, June 18, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Beginner Dog Obedience Level 1.  Start your dog on the path to better manners, stronger attention and a deeper relationship with you.  Using positive reinforcement, we introduce basic cues such as sit, down, hand targeting, stay, come and loose leash walking.  For dogs of all ages.  $138/$135, 6 Thursdays, June 18 to July 30, Except 7/16, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Dog Obedience Level 2.  Learn specific skills to meet your dog’s needs.  Curriculum is tailored to individual questions and needs, such as preparing for the Canine Good Citizen test.  This class will focus on coming and going, helping your dog to return to a specific place.  For dogs of all ages.  $73/$70, 3 Thursdays, June 18 to July 2, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Video Game Programming (Grades 6 and up).  Make your own video game and learn the gaming eco-system.  Learn how to incorporate mechanics, levels, art and music into a video game.  Create apps that can be published on the iTunes app store.  Bring your own laptop, Macbook preferred.  $250, 10 Tuesdays, June 30 to September 1, 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Shoot It Straight – Basketball Bootcamp (Grades 5 to 8).  In this clinic, learn the proper mechanics to shoot, pass, dribble, and defend the ball.  Kids will develop team building skills and good sportsmanship.  $128/$125, July 6 to 9, Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Led by Souleymane Wane, who helped UConn win its first National Championship.

Movie Night – The SpongeBob Movie.  Have dinner and a movie with the Roudenbush Gymnastics Team.  Drop off your child and enjoy an evening out, or stay and enjoy a family fun evening (adults free with a child).  Hot dogs, chips, drinks, and popcorn will be served.  During the movie, have fun doing crafts.  $12 for first child, $8 for each additional child, Friday, June 27, 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Looking for Donation.  Did you happen to find an electronic digital keyboard while spring cleaning, or have one that is not in use?  We are seeking an electronic digital keyboard that is capable of transporting.  The keyboard should have 88 weighted keys, as well as a soft and loud pedal that plugs in.  The keyboards needs only to make the piano sound.  We would gladly appreciate a Cascio, such as the Previa, or a Yamaha.

Eighth Annual Gymnastics Team Show.  Come enjoy a festive night of gymnastics and family fun.  Prior to the show, tattoos, games, face painting, balloon animals, and more will be available.  Cotton candy, hot dogs, and popcorn will be available for purchase.  $4/$6 with fun activities, Friday, June 12, festivities begin at 5:45 p.m., show at 6:30 p.m.
