Getting Started with Genealogy: Thursday, January 28 at 7:00 PM.

A trio of local genealogists who have been giving genealogy workshops for several years will discuss the different aspects of genealogy.  Dave Welsh will address getting started with family research; Patti Mason will discuss lesser used sources such as newspapers, city directories and Find-A-Grave.com; and Bob Oliphant will talk about French Canadian, Italian and Swedish research. Genealogy databases at the Library will also be highlighted. Free!  Drop in. Open to ages 13 and up.

Link to Literacy:

Link to Literacy is a non-profit, volunteer run organization devoted to enabling adults who have joined us from other cultures to read, write, and speak American English more effectively. Training and materials are provided to tutors. Tutors work with their students at the Library. Click here for student and tutor applications.  To pick up a tutor or student application or for more information, stop by or contact the Information Services department at 978-399-2304.  Currently, there is a need for additional tutors.
