Early Voting for the Presidential Election has Begun

This is the first time early voting will be offered in Massachusetts. It differs from absentee voting in that you do not need a special reason to vote early. You can receive an early voting ballot in the mail and return it by mail or in person. (Download the Early Ballot Application). Or, you can come in to Town Hall to vote during the hours listed below. Early voting is a great way to avoid standing in long lines at your polling place on Election Day. Take advantage of the 94 hours of extra voting time and make your voice heard.
Early Voting Hours
All in-person early voting takes place at Westford Town Hall, 55 Main Street.  Look for the small conference room to your left as you come in the rear stairs.  The room is set up with voting booths and a staffed table to check in voters.  Hours are listed below.  Extended hours (two evenings, one Saturday, and one early morning) are noted in bold. Monday, October 24 8am – 4pm
Tuesday, October 25 8am – 8pm
Wednesday, October 26 8am – 4pm
Thursday, October 27 8am – 4pm
Friday, October 28 8am – 4pm
Saturday, October 29 10am – 2pm
Monday, October 31 8am – 4pm
Tuesday, November 1 8am – 8pm
Wednesday, November 2 8am – 4pm
Thursday, November 3 8am – 4pm
Friday, November 4 6am – 4pm


Note: If you are applying for an early voting ballot to be mailed to you, that application must be submitted by noon on Friday, November 4.
Westford Awarded Silver Medal in “Early Voting Challenge”
On October 19, the Massachusetts Election Modernization Coalition honored 201 of the state’s 351 municipalities with Gold and Silver Medals for going above and beyond in offering early voting options to voters.  Westford was the recipient of a Silver Medal.  The Westford LWV has worked to support our town in its early voting efforts, and is thrilled to see the town recognized for its efforts.
