Looking to get a Charlie Card and learn more about the regional public transportation offered to Westford residents?
OPEN to all Westford residents on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 1:30 p.m.

Learn about the services that are offered through the Lowell Regional Transit Authority. Chris Curry, LRTA/NMCOG Transit Program Coordinator will share the many transit resources available to all.

Also, Charlie Cards will be available for people that day. Those age 60 and over are asked to bring a copy of their birth certificate and a photo ID to qualify for a 50 percent discount rate.

Charlie Cards will be available to those that are disabled. They are asked to bring a photo ID and a copy of their SSI award letter to also receive a discounted rate for public transportation services.

All others may apply for a Charlie Card at this program.

Lowell General Series offered through the Cameron

A FREE monthly series with credentialed speakers/instructors from Lowell General will run on the second Tuesday of every month. Register by calling Lowell General at 1-877-544-9355. Programs will be held at the Cameron Senior Center

 

Jan. 10  : Big Dreams, Big Intentions5:30-8 p.m/

                         This program teaches you a fun way to create a visual representation
                         of your dreams and goals, as well as how to be accountable.
                         Show up with a dream and you’ll be sure to leave with a plan.
Feb. 14   : Small Steps That Make Big Changes – 6-7:30 p.m.
                         Attendees will learn the difference between fat loss and weight loss,
                         how to focus on fat loss, how to train smarter and how to cut through all the media hype and confusion.
March      14 : Stress Management with Self Hypnosis  – Time TBD
                         Attendees will learn how to cope with stress and benefit from healthier techniques achieved through self-hypnosis.
                           Explore techniques of relaxation, breathing, reflection, meditation, affirming and visualizing.

 

*QUIGONG- For Relaxation and Balance
 Thursdays Jan. 19 thru March 9 from 7 to 8 p.m.
 Dave Crocker will lead this eight week session that will allow one to experience this moving meditation created by coordinating slow flowing movement, deep rhythmic breathing and a calm meditative state of mind . Students will learn four different Qigong sets that can be  done seated or standing. The fee for Westford residents age 55 and older is $40 and $60 to general public.
