Warrant Pending for Fourth Suspect in Armed Robbery of Westford Convenience Store; Three Arrested

UPDATE — Police are searching for a fourth suspect in the Jan. 28 armed robbery of a Westford convenience store.

Ayer District Court Clerk Wendy Wilton said an outstanding warrant has been issued for the arrest of Michael J. Pereira, 23, of Lowell on the following charges: masked robbery with a firearm; masked armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60 years of age, carrying a firearm without a a license and conspiracy.

Last week Westford Police arrested Tammy M. Perry, Diana M. Frechette, and Shane L. Perry, all of Lowell, in connection with the robbery. The three face multiple charges.

The Brookside Convenience store at 60 Brookside Road was robbed with two customers inside the store and a clerk at the register. Two male suspects entered the store at 10:40 a.m. in late January wearing masks and gloves, according to police. The first suspect pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the clerk and the two customers, police stated. The second suspect had a knife. The two, who appeared to be white males in their late teens or early 20s, demanded money. They left in a minivan with an undisclosed amount of money.

 

Westford Police Capt. Victor Neal credited Lowell Police with helping in the suspects’ apprehension.

“The Westford Police Department would like to thank the Lowell Police who assisted in this investigation,” Neal stated in a public notice. “We would like to thank all you on Facebook, Twitter and local media outlets for sharing the pictures. Those posts led to several solid tips.”

The Facebook post alone reached almost 67,000 people, Neal added.

Police provided the following details about those arrested:

  • Tammy M. Perry, 33, of Hampshire Street, Lowell.

Charges:

Robbery with a Firearm/Masked

Assault with a Dangerous weapon

Assault with a Dangerous weapon +60

Assault and Battery Dangerous Weapon

Carrying a Firearm without a License

Conspiracy

(Arraigned at Ayer District Court on Feb. 2, Perry is being held without bail on a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Feb. 8, according to Ayer District Court Clerk Wendy Wilton)

  • Diana M. Frechette, 36, of Hampshire Street, Lowell.

Charges:

Robbery with a Firearm/Armed and Masked

Assault Dangerous Weapon

Assault and Battery Dangerous weapon

Assault with a Dangerous weapon +60

Carrying a Firearm without a License

Conspiracy

(Arraigned at Ayer DC on Feb. 3, Frechette’s hearing was continued to March 8, Wilton said)

  • Shane L. Perry, 29, of Central Street, Lowell.

The investigation is ongoing, Neal said.
