I am writing to endorse an outstanding citizen of Westford for our Board of Selectman, Dennis Galvin. Dennis has a clear understanding of the issues facing our town and a willingness to develop solutions benefiting the whole community.

Dennis has served this town in many committee and leadership roles during times of unprecedented change. As chairman of the Planning Board, he has demonstrated the capacity to listen and be committed to a fair and equitable solution under the laws of the state and bylaws of the town. This has been a challenge given the growth of the town and the pressure placed upon the boards with responsibility.

He has the courage to take a position and defend it gracefully and factually. This is evidenced by his steadfast opposition view on the Route 40 asphalt plant. His opposition was not only based on the impact to the town but in large part to the lack of clarity by the various boards as well as failure to keep the public informed on what was occurring. I believe Dennis will be true to his commitment to have an open, honest, and informative board working with other committees and in touch with the town at large.

He has my vote because we need a fair and demonstrated leader who has been able to handle inevitable crises in a changing town environment. Principled, fiscally responsible, and transparent is what we need and I hope you will join me in voting on May 2nd for Dennis Galvin. — Kathy Lynch, Rush Road
