The following statement was submitted by Gary Lavelle, who had been a candidate for a three-year seat on the Planning Board.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I will be removing myself from the race for the three-year term on the Planning Board. I will be remaining active in the community as president of the Westford Business Association and continue with my seat on Permanent Town Building Committee, but at this time I have some personal matters that require much attention.
