Alexis Hendrickson of Westford, a senior who will graduate on June 3, has been selected as an April Student of the Month at Nashoba Valley Technical High School.
Hendrickson, daughter of Rob Hendrickson, is a senior in the Cosmetology program, where she is a high-honors student and has completed her licensure. Hendrickson is employed through Nashoba Tech’s Cooperative Education program at Innovations Salon in Boxborough. She plans to attend Mt. Wachusett Community College, then perhaps open her own salon.
Hendrickson was nominated by English instructor Bruce Sullivan, who wrote: “Alexis is an outstanding student both in Cosmetology and in Advanced Placement English. Her latest AP Literature essay on cruelty in literature was outstanding, and her senior research paper on how hair coloring and styling can impact one’s entire image is very interesting and well researched.”
Cosmetology Instructor Donna McMahon also had high praise, adding: “Lexi is an outstanding student who works very hard to create high-quality work. She is a kind friend to others, loves to joke and is very respectful to her teachers. I know that she will do wonderful things in her life.”
