Holiday Hours: The Library will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 23 through Monday, Dec. 25. We will reopen at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 26. The Library will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 31 and Monday, Jan. 1. We will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 10 a.m.
Teen & Tween Holiday Food and Craft Program: Wednesday, Dec. 27 at 11:30 a.m. Celebrate the Season with a hands-on cookery and crafts program where teens can learn how to make a variety of scrumptious treats and crafts for family and friends. This program is for teens and tweens in Grades 5 to 12. Registration is required and can be completed online, in person, or by phone.
3rd Annual 9-Hole Mini Golf in the Library: Thursday, Dec. 28 from 11 – 3 p.m. Yes, mini-golf in the Library. Here is something to do with the whole family during the holiday break. This free drop-in program is generously funded by the KDK Memorial Foundation (in honor of Kurt Kelly).
Sunday Hours: Resume on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018 thru Sunday, April 29. On Sundays the Library is open from 2 to 5 p.m.
Story Time and Book Club Online Registration: Monday, Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m. Although you can always stop by and register in person, online registration for these popular programs starts Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. On Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. you are welcome to register by telephone (978-399-2302). Book clubs are open to Westford residents and non-resident Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library. Book clubs are for grades Kindergarten through grade 5 and meet once a month from 4 to 4:45 p.m. The Mini Masters Art Book Club is for children in grades 3, 4, and 5 and meets one Thursday afternoon a month. The Non-Fiction Book Club is for kids in grades 3 and 4 and meets once a month on Monday afternoon.
Bimonthly Knitting Group: Monday, Jan. 8 at 3 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 22 at 6:30 p.m. Do you enjoy knitting? Drop in to our informal knitting group. The group meets the second Monday of the month from 3-5 p.m. and the fourth Monday of the month from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This is a drop-in program that is open to all ages. J.V. Fletcher Adult Book Discussion Group: Thursday, Jan. 11 at 7:30 p.m. Join us to discuss “Hidden Figures” by Margot Lee Shetterley. Copies of the current reading selection are available for check-out at the Main Desk. New Members are always welcome! Free! Drop in.
