Holiday Hours:  The Library will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 31 and Monday, Jan. 1.  We will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 10 a.m.

Sunday Hours: Resume on Sunday, Jan. 7 thru Sunday, April 29. On Sundays the Library is open from 2 to 5 p.m.

Story Time and Book Club Online Registration: Monday, Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m. Although you can always stop by and register in person, online registration for these popular programs starts Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. On Tuesday, January 9 at 10 a.m. you are welcome to register by telephone (978-399-2302). Book clubs are open to Westford residents and non-resident Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library. Book clubs are for grades Kindergarten through grade 5 and meet once a month from 4 to 4:45 p.m. The Mini Masters Art Book Club is for children in grades 3, 4, and 5 and meets one Thursday afternoon a month. The Non-Fiction Book Club is for kids in grades 3 and 4 and meets once a month on Monday afternoon.

Bimonthly Knitting Group: Monday, Jan. 8 at 3 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 22 at 6:30 p.m.  Do you enjoy knitting? Drop in to our informal knitting group. The group meets the second Monday of the month from 3-5 p.m. and the fourth Monday of the month from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This is a drop-in program that is open to all ages. Bring your latest project and share advice and socialize with other knitters. If you have any questions, please call Kristina Leedberg at 978-399-2309.

J.V. Fletcher Adult Book Discussion Group:  Thursday, Jan. 11 at 7:30 p.m.  Join us to discuss “Hidden Figures” by Margot Lee Shetterley. Copies of the current reading selection are available for check-out at the Main Desk. New Members are always welcome! Free! Drop in.

Cookbook Book Club: Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. The Cookbook Book Club is dedicated to exploring cookbooks and sampling new recipes. Copies of this month’s choice, Jamie’s Food Revolution, by Jamie Oliver are available for check out at the Main Desk. If you would like to bring a dish from the cookbook (not required to participate), please contact Sarah Regan in the Information Services Department at 978-399-2309. The Cookbook Book Club is funded by the Friends of the Library. No registration required.

Adult Coloring Party: Thursday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. Are you looking for a relaxing way to spend the evening? Explore the latest trend in relaxation; adult coloring books. Specially designed adult coloring pages and colored pencils will be provided. Light refreshments will be served.  Free.  Drop in.
