More than 50 state legislators have signed onto a letter authored by Sen. Ed Kennedy requesting Secretary of Health and Human Services Marylou Sudders and the Baker-Polito Administration ensure there will be evening appointments available at COVID-19 vaccination sites.

“Many of our constituents, particularly those in high-risk demographic categories, are working full-time and unable to get to a vaccination site during regular 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. business hours,” Kennedy wrote. “Making evening appointments available at least one night a week until 9 p.m. at certain locations would make the process much more convenient for those residents, as well as reduce some of the
daytime congestion at the sites and help to get as many residents vaccinated as possible in a timely manner.”
