WESTFORD — Here’s the March 8 edition of Wednesday Whiteboard, where WestfordCAT highlights important dates and events during the week in and around Westford.

News and upcoming events around town

A number of committees have open seats. Apply online.

Westford Public Schools will be fielding feedback from residents for its district feasibility study. The event will be held at the Stony Brook School from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Remote participation is available on Zoom.

Excise tax bills have been mailed as of Feb. 7. Bills are due on March 9.

Speed limit changes on select roads will take effect this week.

Westford Academy modern history teacher Christopher Gorham released his first book on Feb. 21. A signing will be held at the Westford Museum on March 12 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Bob Oliphant of the Westford Historical Society released the 91st episode of his Westford Wardsman podcast, where he shares the weekly Westford news with bonus information of Westford and her residents from over 100 years ago. Listen to the podcast below.

The Annual Town Meeting timeline has been published online.

Government meetings 

The Board of Cemetery Commissioners will meet virtually on March 9 at 8:30 a.m.

The Board of Health will meet virtually on March 13 at 6 p.m.

The Economic Development Committee will meet virtually on March 10 at 10 a.m.

The Healthy Westford Committee will meet virtually on March 14 at 3 p.m.

The Historical Commission will meet on March 12 at 9:30 a.m.

The Housing Authority will meet on March 9 at 6 p.m.

The Northern Middlesex Council of Governments will meet virtually on March 15 at 7 p.m.

The Recycling Commission will meet on March 9 at 7:30 p.m.
