Westford Community Access Television (WCAT) is very excited to be welcoming a new Team member! JulieAnn Govang is coming on board as a Sales Consultant, ready to increase community outreach and continue building the support system that keeps WCAT going strong.  Ms. Govang (she/her) will also be expanding on the Station’s promotional campaigns for local businesses, as well as helping to streamline fundraising efforts. She will also be working with the team to bolster WCAT’s new print venture.

Govang is also known in town for her current position as Business Manager of the Parish Center for the Arts (10 Lincoln Street).  Many of her responsibilities there will be carried over to fulfill needs at WCAT.  “Over my first year at the PCA, I’ve gotten to know many terrific people and business in Westford.  I’m not a Town resident, but through my interactions, Westford has kind of become a second home. Working at both WCAT and the PCA will grow my connections and friendships here and I’m truly looking forward to jumping in with both feet to help build WCAT’s presence in the community!”

JulieAnn has worked with non-profits and in the Arts for nearly 50 years. She has always been an advocate, having been on many regional and community theater boards and in many directing chairs. She was the Drama Director for Ayer Shirley Regional High School, a founding member of Groton’s youth arts organization ArtsNashoba, and an adjudicator for the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild, with previous directing, producing and performing experiences with many local companies. As a performer, JulieAnn is an award-winning actress, as well a New England Theatre Conference award recipient for Outstanding Achievement in the American Theatre.

Govang was also Owner/President and Editor at JAC Publishing & Promotions, a publishing and licensing agency that focused on arts-related books and play scripts. Under the umbrella of JAC came the New England Entertainment Digest, an arts & entertainment newspaper established in 1979, which ran in print under Govang’s editing, graphic work and supervision until its retirement in 1998. Now a self-sustaining Facebook page, NEED continues to promote the performing arts throughout New England.

A resident of Ayer, JulieAnn Govang is hard-working and dedicated to her work, especially with non-profit endeavors. Her ideas, creativity and organizational skills will definitely be an added asset to WCAT. She will work directly with supporters, donors, sponsors and members, keeping things moving and growing in a positive manner. JulieAnn can be reached at jgovang@westfordcat.org.
