Westford employees gathered on September 23, 2025, to celebrate the town’s 296th birthday at the annual Employee Cookout. The event was held in honor of staff across departments with food, fun, and community spirit.
Employees enjoyed a cookout lunch, games, and ice cream generously provided by Kimball Farm. The celebration also included recognition of new employees, milestone anniversaries, and retirements — honoring the many contributions and commitment of staff members to the Westford community.
Town Manager Kristen Las shared her appreciation in a LinkedIn post following the event: “Today, we celebrated our employees on Westford’s birthday! Thank you to our incredible and dedicated staff who serve every day!”
The annual event is to mark the town’s long history, an opportunity to show gratitude to the employees who serve the community.
With its 300th anniversary on the horizon, Westford continues to honor its past while celebrating the people who shape its present and future. On social media, the Town of Westford added, “Here’s to 296 years of community, service, and celebration — and many more to come!”
